The solution domain of possion equation is a two-dimensional space domain. The five point difference scheme and nine point difference scheme are usually used to solve the boundary problems of this kind of equation. For some more special solution domains such as circle, ring, sector or annular sector, the polar coordinate difference scheme can also be used. This paper mainly discusses the matlab implementation of solving the first boundary value problem of possion equation by using five point difference scheme when the solution domain is arbitrary rectangle, so that the matlab program can be called arbitrarily according to the required grid step size in this case, reducing the workload.
