This paper focuses on the automatic detection of linear features of SAR satellite data and its application in road network extraction. In the directional pre filtering step, morphological line detector is given. In order to improve the detection performance, multi temporal data are fused. Different fusion strategies are proposed, involving different fusion operators. Since the classical intersection and Union expansion do not lead to satisfactory results (whether the corresponding operators are too indulgent or too serious), the strategy includes fusing RST data and using a compromise operator. The second strategy contains the result that two operators have the opposite characteristics of computing fusion, in order to obtain the intermediate result of nal. Thanks to their wide range of performance, fuzzy operators are used to test and compare the two fusion strategies on real ERS-1 multi temporal data.
