Application background
The use of quartus7.2 for the 8 bit shift CPU design, can make a thorough understanding of the CPU design, function and so on. The basic components of the CPU are operational components, register sets, micro commands, and timing systems. These components are connected by the CPU internal bus and realize the information exchange between them. The operation part and a part of the registers are part of the arithmetic unit. The other part of the register belongs to the part of the micro command and the time series system is a part of the controller. This paper will introduce a full 8 bit model computer design process, and the whole design is implemented using FPGAKey Technology
