In order to make full use of space channel resources, there are multiple transmit antennas and receive antennas in MIMO system. In order to transmit and receive data, it is necessary to configure multiple radio frequency (RF) links at the transmitter and receiver. The direct result of this is expensive cost and complex hardware facilities. Using part of the information of the transmitted data as an index to select an effective antenna for transmission can effectively reduce the number of transmit antennas and greatly reduce the cost and implementation complexity of MIMO system. Since the transmitting antenna of spatial modulation system is a single antenna, the result will be the reduction of transmission rate. Therefore, we can consider using index to activate multiple antennas, so that the spatial transmission becomes multi-channel, improve the transmission rate and system capacity, save cost and reduce complexity
