Database connection pooling

Application background The connection pool is a technique for creating and managing a connected buffer pool that is ready to be used by any thread that needs them. This technique is based on the fact that the connection is "pooled": for most applications, when they are processing transactions that typically require a few milliseconds, only 1 threads of access to the JDBC connection are required. When the transaction is not handled, the connection is idle. In contrast, the connection pool allows idle connections to be used by other threads. Key Technology In fact, when a thread needs to operate with a JDBC on a GBase or other database, it requests a connection from the pool. When this thread uses the connection, it will be returned to the connection pool so that it can be used by other threads.
