ATmega8 microcontroller nema42 AVR stepping contro
no vote
Application background ATmega8 connected to the DM2722 stepper motor driver. Motor NEMA42 can be started from zero up to 24 kHz frequency and back. These parts of sinus data are important for another stepper motor routines since stepper motor must ramp slowly and precise. Key Technology In the file are included few routines for stopping, ramping up, ramping down of the motor and IRQ setup of the PWM timer who defines the output frequency. That taken few days of work until the motor worked realiable without any drops. Any drop or fail of few impulses brings stop or malfunction of the stepper motor. Sinus was the best and fastest way to achieve the required speed. For the data generation have Excel file, but that doesn't include English description. If anybody needs that, I can sit down and do the description later and upload here. With the help of this you create data table for the ideal ramping from any speed to any speed of the motor.
