This solution shows how you can control serial communication in .NET. VS.NET does not include any functionality that controls the communication via serial port. Or, at least, I haven't discovered such functionality. This small application shows how you can use API functions to control serial communications. The application is based on an sample from Microsoft and provides almost the same functionality as MSComm control, although the interface may not be the same.
