&Harris corner detector is the most typical corner detector. Corners are often detected at the junction of edges, occluded edges, and textured parts. Generally, these conditions are stable and highly repetitive points, so whether they are corner points or not is not important (because our goal is to find some stable and highly repetitive points as feature points).
