In order to reduce the computational complexity of motion estimation algorithm and improve the reliability of sequence image super-resolution reconstruction, an effective three-step search algorithm is proposed. The algorithm adopts multi-step search strategy. According to the center deviation of motion vector distribution and the idea of parallel processing, the diamond template is used to replace the original square template in the area where the best matching point is located to carry out fine search, so as to improve the search accuracy of the algorithm. Experimental results show that the algorithm can greatly reduce the time consumption while ensuring the search accuracy.
