The paper presents a new STL file fast hierarchical methods, the hash table is firstly established stratification plane coordinates, then according to the triangle coordinate values to quickly find the hash table, get the stratification plane the existence of intersection and the triangle, then the direct use of this stratification plane and triangle intersection get intersection. This method each during stratification triangle is only the search time, and do not need to read the establishment triangle complex topology. Get a hierarchical algorithm mentioned in this paper results can be well applied to STL model based ring cutting in CNC machining.
