Neighbor Coverage Based Probabilistic Rebroadcast

Broadcastingis a fundamental operation in Mobile Ad Hoc Network MANETs whereby a sourcenode sends the identical or same packet to all the nodes in the network. Simpleflooding technique used for route discovery where a mobile node blindlyrebroadcast received route request packet until a route established forparticular destination. While broadcasting has many advantages, it also havesome disadvantage such as the broadcast storm problem, it cause redundantretransmission, collision, and contention. Neighbor coverage basedprobabilistic rebroadcast routing protocol reduce overhead in MANET. Thisapproach combines the neighbor coverage knowledge method and probabilisticmethod which can solve the broadcast storm problem and also reduce the routingoverhead to improve performance. In this approach first calculate rebroadcastdelay is to determine forwarding order and also calculate rebroadcastprobability by multiplying the additional coverage ratio and connectivityfactor.
