This paper presents a new method for gesture recognition, which combines the orientation histogram vector (0hv) of image with neural network. The feature of gesture recognition is to select the histogram vector of image direction as the feature vector of gesture. The feature vector has strong robustness to the change of light and hand translation, which is the key problem of gesture recognition. In the training stage, we need to establish the feature vector library of gesture samples; in the recognition stage, we choose three methods, which is the key problem to be solved.
