SMB defines two security:  Share-level protection (Share Level Protection) applied to the server shared directory level. Each shared directories are required to provide an access password. Only the password using the client can access all shared files.  User-level protection (Usr Level Protection) applied to individual files in a shared directory, based on user access rights. Each user (client) must log server and the license server to obtain certification. Once authenticated, the customer the opportunity to get a UID. In the later client access server process will need to use the UID.
