alarm system detector -- Alarm System Prject -- This Project is a Design of a detector circuit to monitor a set of 8 SPST switches (S0-S7) in an alarm system. -- The switches are scanned one at a time by a multiplexer to determine if any switch has been opened (resulting in -- a logic HIGH for the open switch input). A MOD-8 counter automatically controls the scanning. When an open switch -- is detected, an alarm lamp will go HIGH and the scanning will stop, with the counter state indicating the location of -- the open switch.
