A method for segmenting fundus
images using region based level set is described in this code. The fundus
images have active regions such as optic disc, blood vessels, cup and fovea.
Extraction of these regions can be help full in the diagnosis of diabetes and glaucoma
diseases. The variation of optic disc size and cup may be bio marker for this
disease. The region based level set can extract the regions based on the
clustering the particular regions. This may use signed distance function or an
improved distance or tiknov function for curve evolution. The region descriptor
may be a mean.
