LBP: LBP Operator uses gray value comparison between pixels to determine the binary relationship, and does not consider the information of contrast. So the final feature representation of binary pattern will lose local difference information and be easily affected by noise. LTP: it is more robust to illumination changes and noise, and enhances the classification performance of local texture features. It is a ternary coding form.
