Content-based image retrieval technology is an important part of image processing. Image retrieval method based on color histogram is a relatively simple method of content-based image retrieval. Is introduced in this paper based on the color histogram, cumulative histogram and accumulated normalized histogram image retrieval system in 10000 images and MATLAB simulation for image search in the library using recall and precision evaluation of system performance and effect analysis of three methods. From the simulation results, accumulated normalized histogram based image retrieval system based on cumulative histogram is more effective than the retrieval system and retrieval system based on color histogram. This article describes the three color components of accumulated normalized histogram image retrieval system, and simulation, the method for image color retrieval result is ideal
